best muffler for budget Y and B

i just got my new budet y pipe and b pipe. ive now got the stock muffler on. i like the sound it makes but its mostly intake and is just a little bitt too quiet. im lookin for something a little louder but not ricey in any way. i checked the sound clips and only saw this setup with the Dynomax muffler wich i dont like. any suggestions for a non ricey clean sounding muffler that isnt over the top. thanks

um, isn't there an entire thread with exhaust clips? if that's what you were looking at and all you could figure out is that you didn't like a dynomax one, i think you should check it again...

If you want a nice low aggressive sound that sets off alarms yet is not ricey then get a Magnaflow.

Stay with the oem muffler for now... I spoke with Rob at Budget last month, and I had the saem question as you. Budget is coming out with a stainless steel bolt on muffler thats quiet and has good flow soon. Something to look forward to in the future, for now, stay with the stocker, IMO

Actually, no, the amount in U.S. dollars of the Y-pipe would be $215 ($250 CDN) and the b-pipe would be $224 U.S. (from $260 CDN listed on the Budget website. The exchange rate is $0.86 U.S. / CDN (www.x-rates.com)
The SS muffler is in the works, he told me that it will be available later this year.
I'm ordering a Budget y-pipe this week. I need to replace my cat-back, but I ust bought an OE replacement from the local auto parts store. I need to replace the brakes and struts on my Max too, couldnt spend too much on exhaust, since I needed to buy new O2 sensors...they're pricey.

Great Advice, Does the magnaflow sound like the mufflers on the BMW 3 series?

I have th Bubget Y-pipe & stock B-pipe. and I'm going with the Dynomax Super turbo later this spring. I've heard it's the best performance muffler (compared to Magnaflow/Flowmaster etc) & not too noisy at all.

I used to have the HKS rear section, it bolts to factory style b-pipes or aftermarket with same flange location. It is quiet and looks great, and fits perfectly. I loved the HKS rear section, just wanted an entire catback only reason I didn't keep it. I think the HKS is the best rear section out there for the price. Everyone I know that had a dynomax muffler either liked or hated the sound, they are loud so make sure you have a resonator if you want it quiet.

I've got both Budget B and Y pipes and I prefer a stock muffler. I had a Vibrant flow-through muffler mounted for a short while as it was too noisy for my tastes.
