After new gaskets...

So I just replaced the timing cover gasket, and upper and lower oil pan gaskets. My car has 122k miles and is driven fairly hard, would you guys recommend a synthetic oil and if so which one? I have been using valvoline 10-30 high mileage up until now. If all goes well I won't have any leaks but I just don't want to get any blow by due to the oil change. I need some help on this one, I really have no experience with oils...

Synthetic is most likely your best option. It protects the best. Just go with some Mobil 1 synthetic, and check out the oil thread that someone just started. You can browse what others are using. Mobil 1 synthetic is just my personal preference
