Vibrations at high speed
Vibrations at high speed
At around 75-80 my steering wheel starts to vibrate a little along with my pedals and the dead pedal (kinda a lot). Could this be cause by an exhaust problem? It's been revving a little lately so Im thinking a small hole might cause the vibrations as well?? If not, what could cause them?
Check as well that none of the rims are warped. Vibrations at high speed can have a thousand different causes or so, but exhaust isn't one of them. Otherpossibilities are alignment issues, bad ball joints (cause steering wheel shake), warped rotors, loose wheels nuts, axel problems, bent suspension parts, frame problems , or defective tires. It's easy for a mechanic to check all these thing. If its a ball joint then get it fixed right away as it is the car's way of warning you a wheel is ready to fall off.
Rebalancing the tires is normally the first you do, since its normally whats wrong. Beyond that, it's impossible to guess unless the car is on a lift.
