axles/cv
axles/cv
i was reading that lowering your car puts extra strain on the axles/cv... so i was wondering if raxles are something that are highly recommended. is the wear on my axles definately going to happen but its a matter of time or is it something that only sometimes happens?
I wouldn't just swap them out right away. Depending on the milage your stockers could go a good while. I would just be prepared to do raxles or lifetime autozone/advance axles although the latter is 50/50 results.
Really depends how low you are, but changing the angle is what wears them out so more angle (more drop), more wear.

From what I've read, Raxles should be the last axle you'll buy. But you don't have to immediately get some. I noticed my CV starting to go right after I lowered my car, but they should last awhile--my stock, broken down CV/axles have lasted me ~5k so far, and they were clicking from the very beginning. I just go easy on them--the less they click, the better.
I think Raxles offers a lifetime warrantee on their products as long as you're not ridiculously low--say, more than 3" dropped.
