Coliovers take the place of a traditional spring/strut combo. No additional "shocks" or "sways" necessary.

Look here for a run down on automotive suspensions: http://auto.howstuffworks.com/car-suspension.htm

what kind of coilovers are you looking for? if you buy those cheap coilovers you will need to buy the struts/shocks. If you buy like tein basics, yuu will have to reuse the motor mounts from your car or buy new ones with new bushings and everything. If you are looking for ksports I believe it comes with everything you need.

well i dont have ksports so i dont know how the ride will be. i have tiens and i think they are pretty damn good. but you should read up on the forum..search about ksports and see what they think of it. if you are getting the springs, its recommended to change the shocks as well but you cant make the car lower or raise it up a bit. you can get the adjustable shocks so you can adjust some height.

I think you mean strut mounts.

btw I have K-sport coilovers and they are definitely not for people who complain about their lowering springs being too stiff. After Eibachs/Illuminas, the K-sports feel about 3x stiffer.

some say k-sports are not the best ride......but i have spent alot of time adjusting and getting it correct and with 19's with 45 series, my car rided 10X better than it did with agx/stechs with 17's with 45 series.

these k sports ride admazing. you can adjust hight without loosing suspension travel....
