My '99 takes #74 mini bulbs. Not sure if the 98 takes the 194 wedge or the #74 mini. Best bet is to take out your instrument cluster and to look yourself, better be safe than sorry.

99 is the year they started putting 74's into the gauge cluster. I have a 97 and I'm very sure this applies to 98's...but anyway. You will need 194's for your application I believe (that's what size mine were).

I got these bulbs and I needed 5 of them. This is the end result:

Hope this helps.

No idea...just read the ebay listing information...it should tell you. I just bought them and plugged them in. Took me 5 minutes and I'm completely happy with the look.

98-99 take #74, but you can fit 194's.

I have a 99 and I was able to put in some 194's just fine with some slight modifications

how hard was it to do that? if i can just use the 194's i ordered, i would like too so i can save money and not have to reorder 74's.

What color 194's did you buy? I'll buy your extra or all 10 if you can't use them.

If the original bulb are not LED's, then you DO need resistors. If they were LED's, then you don't need resistors. I believe the window switches are just tiny regular bulbs so you have to solder the resistors in. Hope that helps

K-town let me know how easy the 74's are to install and how bright they are. I'm going to do white with red needles very soon and I'm doing complete red interior lights as well.

this is a crappy pic (took with my razr), i know. it turned out alright, but you can hardly see my needles at night, and there are really bad hot spots or bright spots. anybody know how to fix my problems?? do i need to install separate LEDs for the needles, or is there an easier way???

looks like you didn't get the right leds.. also you should sand down the red needles so that it'll glow better. (make it clear)

i got #74 leds from superbrightleds.com im not sure if they are inverted or not. will somebody post a link to some better LED's cuz i want it to look better.
i used 4 LEDs for the gauges, thats all that i could use for them. i also made my turn signals, od off light, brights light, and digital odometer blue LEDs. they look fine, its the gauges i need to work on. http://www.superbrightleds.com/specs/74_t15.htm
these are the bulbs i bought.

the bulbs i bought from superbrightled's.com have an MCD of 1860. i found some other ones HERE
it says these ones in blue have an MCD of 3200. would it make a huge difference if i went with the 3200MCD ones over what i have now???
