Cost of auto to 5 speed swap

How much would it be to have it done. I've read a ton of instructions, and I'm pretty sure that there's no way i could do it myself. So I've been looking around for parts and labor costs (around 2 grand usually). How much should it cost, and is it even worth it. If anyone has a specific place they think I should go to get the switch, throw that in as well.

haha that depends on how comfortable you are with ripping the front of your car completely apart and hoping to get it all back together in working order. easy for some, daunting for others.

it's the first time i've ever done something like that, and it went pretty well. Keep in mind a car is held together by clips and bolts. Just take off the right bolts, and install the parts. Not too hard, you just need a little common sense. if you've ever put together a LEGO set, you could most likely do the swap.

tavarish how hard was it to find a 5spd? I've been searching for a 5spd so I can do the swap myself too. Mostly what kind of parts did you use? Also good job on the swap. Hope mine turns out the same way.

there are a lot of members here who have done the swap. i bet you could pay them less than what you would a mechanic and get a good job out of it.
