Altenator problem

I replaced my altenator about a month ago.I Put a new one on and now my battery and brake might are comming on again. Except this time if i rev it about 2500 rpm the warning lights go off. What could be the problem with this? Im pretty sure i didnt over tighten my belts. Also the first time it did this i had been on the highway in high rpm's for about a hour and a half. Any help would be great.

It still sounds like you have an alternator problem, even if it's fairly new.

A guy at work said it sounds like my belt is slipping..but its not making a sound. I will check the tension here in about 30 min on break.

Check your belts

if your belts aren't loose I'd say your alternator is dying on you. alternators die often on the 4th gen, especially if you let you MAX sit around for a couple of weeks without running, i've replaced mine twice so far

If your alternator is going out this soon I hope you bought it from somehwere that offers a full warranty. I bought mine from O'Reillys because they offer a lifetime warranty on theirs, just keep your receipts. They even offer the warranty on brake pads too.

If I were you I would of went with the OEM one. They are quite more reliable then the ones from autozone. Yes, they have a lifetime warrenty but the labor is what kills.

I read somewhere that you were supposed to remove the 4 a/c compressor bolt to remove the alternator. I did not do this last time i replaced it. Is it any easier? is it possible to get it out of the bottom that way? last time i took the fans out and slid it out that way. The cars at work so i need to get it done the fastest way possible.

The symptom of revving the car to make the charge lights go out is indicative of bad field (carbon) brushes. Sometimes mean people rebuild an alternator with a new diode pack, maybe even change the bearings, but leave the worn-out old carbons in there.
