HELP ME Need an oem 16" tire Kuhmo-spt/Fuzion-hri?
Well as the post states i'm looking to get a reasonable good wet traction tire but a decent treadlife. I know an H rated tires will outlast a W rated one. But my question is anyone have any of these tires on their max and if you do, do have any exp with them on wet and dry traction, Hurricane season is a few months away and I want somethin with a good wet traction but i want to spend less than 75 a tires and tire rack offers thse two. the kuhmo SPT @ 68/piece and the Fuzion Hri @ 70 i think, I know i have read all the reviews but there are not many maxima ones, a tiure performs very diff on diff cars, so I need ur help orgers. Plus i'm going with an s-tech drop and i don't want a tire that will mess up with such an agg drop?
I had the Kumho SPT's on my 97 Max here in KS. They have excellent dry traction and I would say average to good in the wet, but I felt they didn't last long enough, (only about a good 20 months) even with constant rotation (every 5k miles). When I first put them on they let me corner real nice but as the miles piled up (21k in all) the cornering faded real fast. I finally gave them away when I noticed that I could intentionally make my car hydroplane on a lot of the roads that I drove on even in small amounts of water. I would give them an overall 6 rating. They are good for hot climates but not so here in the midwest.

like s-tech, eibach, h-tech etc???
no i dont (but i will have my ksports on soon). But the way they grip with the newly added FSTB is amazing. The grab at the road its rediculous i cant wait to see what they do in the summer when the road is real hot. But as for the springs i see no problems in the way they feel/handle might be a little bit rougher compaird to the ZRi's.

I am very happy with Toyo T1-Rs, very grippy tire in both dry and wet. I'm not sure that they come in 215/55-16 though, and they're probably a bit pricey for your tastes.
Many many people are religious supporters of the Toyo Proxes 4s, very good all around at a great price.

yea toyos are a bit out of my price range i just bought a new suspension set up tokico and s-techs so i want to go med price for tires thare clsoe to bald and hurricae season is almost here i def need soem good wet traction tires and decent tread life for around 65-75 a piece soi far it looks like fuzion hri
Tires are one thing you shouldnt chince out on. You get what you pay for.
It doesnt make since to upgrade your suspension, and then cheap out on the tires. If you want to get the most out of your suspension, get some good tires to go with it.
Ive had Kumhos, and like others have stated they were decent at first but got hard in no time. I wont go with another cheap set of tires.
Im on BFG G force KDW2's. These tires are some of the best tires Ive ever had. They do great in the dry, and still perform really well in the wet as well.

thanks for the advice, but i cna't go past 70 a tire my budget won't allow it, i dont' drive hard anyways so suspension set up is just for looks
i had a set of kumho's and i had toyo fz;s, and they both wore out rediclulously fast......i have BFG G force's and they have laster a long time, and before these i had a set of BFG Traction t\a's and they lasted a real long time as well.
