97 Maxima won't run

My friend has a 1997 max and it stopped running. He had some trouble before installing an intake which some of you may recall and he couldn't get it running. Well in that situation he hooked up the MAF wrong. When he hooked it up right, it ran great for about a week. He let a friend borrow it to go to and from work last sunday and since then he said it has been running like crap. At first it would start and just die if he gave it any gas. Today he tried to run it and it won't start at all. The engine turns, but will not fire. He thought it may be something with the MAF so he picked up a new one and it didn't do anything so he returned it. Any ideas?

No codes which is wierd. He tried to get codes out of it and got nothing. His friend said on his way back it just started dying if he tried to go over about 2500 rpms. Then my friend said it got worse and would idle for about a minute then die and if he tried to give it gas while it was idling, it would die. Now it won't run at all.

Is there a way to do a test to see if it's the fuel pump?

Pull the wire connector off fuel pump. Test resistance between terminals 1 and 2. on pump. Should be between 0.2 to 5.0 ohms.

I had this prob two weeks ago, turned out the Radiator Hose came loose and drained the Radiator of coolant so the engine was overheating so the ECM (Knock Sensor?!) made my car go into turtle MODE and it wouldn't go over 40MPH / 2K RPM, OBVIOUSLY I stopped it immediatly (cuz I didn't know WTF was going on) and checked the engine, It was as hot as an IRON and immediatly I noticed the radiator hose was loose and still dripping coolant. Luckily I have AAA and I wasn't very far from home so I called them up and got a tow to my house, I let the car cool down and got to work, bought a new hose and put it in, and filled it with new coolant, crossed my fingers and prayed that the engine didn't F*CK UP (but since I stopped it IMMEDIATLY I doubted it) it started I took it to my mechanic and he told me it was all good . Anyways you might wanna check your hoses or at least see if the engine isn't overheating (my temp gauge didn't mark the engine as overheating when the sh*t hit the fan) and check your coolant levels.

Anyways what do I know I'm a just putting my $.02 on the table.

Why don't you get your friend to join the org instead of running around after him?

He doesn't have a computer so he can't go online but i'm sure he would if he had one. He checked the intake for leaks and has been switching back and fourth between the stock intake and the short ram and it does the same thing.
