quick electrical question

What I'm trying to do: wire the corner (nxt to headlight) lights to the front bumper blinker.

My question: Are the bumper lights and corner lamp all running under the same fuse? Should I up the fuse after wiring everything to run solely off the bumper lights?

Meanwhile: I'll be reading up on basic circuits

Are you trying to make the corner light "blink" with the turn signal? If so, just cut the wires from the corner light and tap into the signal light on the bumper. I'm not sure exactly what you are trying to do, but you need to explain more clearly what the result of what you're attempting to do. I notice you have a '99, therefore your corner light does'nt act on the turn signal circuit like the '95-'96. Explain more clearly, and I can probably help.

This is quite simple. Just like Mixx said above. Cut the wires from the bright side of the corner lamp and run it down to the turn signal and tap it in. Very easy. And I doubt 2 extra bulbs will cause you to need a bigger fuse or a bigger wire.

Would this make it blink, or just have the brighter light on? Plus, will this work for 95/96's that already have the brighter lighter come on?

This makes it blink, IF you tie into the turn signal power source. If you tie into the side marker it'll just be bright all the time. I was assuming you wanted to make it blink with the turn signal?

Same fuse, no doubt.

The '95-'96 models are much more complicated because the corner light is running off the cornering light relay which is wired to the turn signal circuit. In order for it to work in the '95-'96 models, the relay must be bypassed, making it much more complicated because the wiring is all daisy-chained together (power and ground). The '97-'99 models are much more easier because Nissan eliminated this cornering light feature in these models.

Never knew that, good to know. Mixx, is the relay part of the light socket or is there enough room to sever the wiring between them? Personally I kinda like the side beam on mine, wouldn't want to change it to a blinker but might goto to 1-piece Cefiro's which might change my opinion due to the forward beam pattern of their corner lights.

What color wire is the power wire to the Clearance light? I did the alternating signals already and they were easy to do.

The relay is located in the relay boxes. I don't understand why people want to change the corner light to a blinker. It's just as it is, a "corner light". If it flashes, it looks kinda wierd because it isn't a meant to be a blinker. Now, since I have a 2000 Max (before I upgraded to the 2k2-2k3 HID's), my corner light next to the headlight is a parking lamp and a turn signal. The lamp is angled in such a way to focus the beam towards the front of the car because it acts as a turn signal, whereas the 4th gener's are only acting as a corner lamp (the lamp does'nt focus its beam toward the front of the car, only to its side). The '97-'99 are somewhat wired almost the same way as the halogens in the 2k-2k1 models except for the turn signal circuit and relay used.

I'm glad other people were wondering about this as well. for my current setup, I have my bumper lights up front stay on, using the method in the stickies. I have both the sidemarker and front blinker wired together, so if I were to wire the corner light to the front bumper blinker, I was just weary of it.

I would like to do this because honestly, the corner light in 97-99's are just there to be there. I'd rather have it there and have a function as well. Its the only lonely bulb.
