stillen adjustable sway bar vs. progress non adjustable

stillen adjustable sway bar vs. progress non adjustable

i do a lot of autocross with scca and really need a sway bar....should i get the adjustable one from stillen for 300? or for only 100 bucks get progress's non adjustable one? i have progress springs already with tokico struts and its great but need a opinion on the sway bar....seriouslly.....thanks guys...

I have the Progress and am considering making mine adjustable. From my inspection and understanding, it would be as simple as welding a couple brackets to the rear end that allow the bar to move forward. If I do the mod, I'll post some pics. I like the design of the Stillen, but don't like the price. I can't comment on the performance difference. The Progress is very effective IMO.

to stiffen the stillen you move the bar forward??? isn't that backwards?

You can't make the progress adjustable the brackets on the beam prohibit movement F to B. The stillen is totally different the brackets are made to move the progress are not.

I think the Progress RSB could be adjustable if you modify the attachment of the urethane clips under the rear beam. My thought was to weld plates to the bottom of the beam and eliminate the U bolts. The urethane clips would then bolt into the plate and not be held by the U bolts over the beam. I've not tried it, so this is all theory. I may have to take another look at it, as I've not looked at it since I installed it over a year ago.

see signature....u can somewhat adjust the Progress depending on how u space the brackets on the beam...as i do also auto-x

ok cool so i should prolly get the the progress then ....i dont feel like spending another 120 bucks if the stillen isnt all that much better........
