Suspension Questions..
OK, FIRST OFF, LET ME JUS SAY THANKS TO THE SITE AND EVERYBODY WHO WILL RESPOND. I FIND THIS SITE VERY HELPFULL, AND I WOULD BE LOST WITH OUT IT.I HAVE A 95 SE AUTO, ITS IS ALL STOCK, THE ONLY THING I HAVE DONE IS PUT ALL 4 KYB-GR2'S SRTUTS, DOES THE MAXIMA ONLY HAVE STRUTS OR DO THEY HAVE SHOCKS TOO, I AM CONFUSED ON THIS.
IN REGARDS TO THE SWAY BARS, IS IT ONLY NECCASSARY TO PUT THE REAR SWAY BAR, OR SHOULD I GET BOTH THE FRONT AND REAR?
THANKS! (YEA, IM VERY NOVICE TO ALL THIS)
ok.....they are all struts...when the spring mounts on the actual damper like the front and rear springs do on maximas they are struts..and there is no necessity at all to put a rear sway bar on...if ur learning to drive leave it off...if ur a novice driver leave it off...wait until u know how to handle a car then put one on if u feel the need...and you have a front sway bar already...
and if u ask y u should wait on a RSB (rear sway bar) its because it helps alot and some people tend to think it makes the rear of the car unstable at speed over bumps...I personally dont but I also have Autocrosssed my Maxima for the past 4 years and know how to handle it fairly well....so until u are familar with ur car leave on off...and if u tend to ignore my advice and put a RSB on...take it easy and learn how the car reacts to it first before u take freeway ramps and 90
