OK, so my CEL came on yesterday, did the diagnosis today, and this is what i got:

1 3 Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor
3 4 Knock Sensor
4 1 Intake Air Temperature Sensor
5 4 A/T Conrol Unit Signal to ECU
11 2 Revolution Sensor
11 6 Improper Shifting to 4th Gear

...now, besides the KS and IATS, what the hell do i do with all the other codes? i have already looked in the stickes and searched on the web, no help there. someone please help so i can get my max back in shape!! thanks in advance...

Reset the codes and see which ones come back. The air temperature sensors are easy to check - d/l the service manual, it has the right resistance reading for the sensors at various temperatures.

If my CEL suddenly came on and had all of those codes at once I would take it to a dealer that I knew had a non-shady service department. They are out there. I would at least take it to a mechanic you trust before you start installing sensors left and right. I would bet that your knock sensor is probably bad if it hasn't been changed yet but when I changed mine it was the only code that the ecu had in it. All those codes all at once you cant trust any single one of them IMO. I haven't even heard of a couple of those codes.

Quote: This malfunction is detected when the A/T does not shift into fourth gear position or the torque convertor clutch does not lock up as instructed by the A/T control unit. This is not caused by electrical malfunction (circuits open or shorted) but by mechanical malfunction such as control valve sticking, improper solenoid valve operation, malfunctioning oil pump, or torque converter clutch, etc. Hope this helps
