- Cracked EVAP canister.

- Closed Throttle Position Switch.
- Improper connection of one-way valve.
- Blocked purge port.
- EVAP canister vent control valve.

This is a "jackpot" code. It points to so many possible causes as to be almost useless. It may be accompanied by another DTC which is more specific.
I'm working through an EVAP problem right now. What other codes are you throwing?

before I replaced the knock sensor 2 days ago it showed 0302, 0304, and 0111. I reset the ecu after the install and today it came back on- only code now is 0111. "wtf?" I asked myself, this makes me sick. haha, what if I just take the evap canister OFF completely? what will happen? oh yeah, my cel will not reset now, it stays on.

i'm throwing i believe the same code. And you are correct, mine resets but then comes right back on when i drive for like .0000001 miles. its a dealer part only for like around $70-90. Just gonna have to change it....but i got more things to fix than that crappy evap thing. BTW, its located on the left side near your gas tank on the bottom..

I've read the valve on it is often the culprit as well.

Yeah beating it probably just ensured more of the charcoal brakes down and gets into the system. When I disconnected everything the old charcoal poured out of the lines and canister. Definitely time for a new one but I still have to pull of the valve and check it.
