Raybesto brakes ?

I'm looking to grab raybesto quiet stop and raybesto generic blank rotors. I read the reviews on that one site. And everything looks good on the quiet stop pads abut how are their generic rotors. I would assume they be decent.

Anyone have this setup? I haven't heard much from people on raybestos, every brake thread i read has HAWKS and OEM pads all over it and brembos and powerslots for the rotors.

Go with OEM pads and rotors. Rabestos stop ok, but they are noisey and grab faster than OEM, which makes them harder to modulate in traffic. OEM is definitely the best for everyday driving.

Im in the same situation. I'm looking for a pad that has no noise at all. I don't care about how good they grab.
are the oem's the best choice for me?

I have Raybestos QS paired with zinc plated, slotted and cross drilled rotors, and I would say they are louder than OEM. They don't squeal, but there is noise. They stop pretty well - I don't have much to compare to as far as Maximas go becuase I replaced old, worn brake components with new stuff -so it's of course going to feel better.

funny you guys started to talk about price and how they aren't as good as OEM and stuff like that.

I pay 10% over cost at dealership. my pads would cost 52$ for the front and 40$ for the rears. And while i got my price quote for everything OEM for pads rotors all around the price came out to 380$ or so. I factored in a lot of things. $380 for OEM pads and rotors VS raybesto pads and rotors for $170 shipped. Less then 1/2 the cost for somewhat similiar performance. I'm not looking for better performance, honestly my pads and rotors are pretty good still just getting close to the throw away specs.

i did all around brakes for my parents car about 2 years ago and i got the autozone stuff. they still feeling strong right now. no noise or anything. this is the reason why i'm not really feeling OEM stuff. I know OEM stuff work just as good but the price for what they are.

very true in mainly cases. personally i don't feel its the same for this. i made this thread to get more info on raybestos brakes. Not to argue prices. Because i can do the research on prices very easily but i can't do the research on the brake products bymyself.

BigLou93SE, can you explain this noise a little better, how often and what type. A lot of times brakes chatter because of the lack of hardware holding the pads in place. I just wanted to know thats not the case.

My OEM pads make a noise only when the humdity is up. i guess its just the moisture but coming from a 30mph stop it would once in a while make a noise from 25-10mph and stop after. The noise is kinda like a groan.
