Recently bought a stillen chin spoiler for my max...and it came with no instructions or installation hardware....how did everyone install theirs? customer service said to use double sided tape to mount and screws to secure but thats kind of vague...want to know how to do it right and secure...thanks

For the 95/96 you need to screw the lip on from behind. Some have only used screws on the ends and double sided tape in the middle, but it will fall off. There are many horror stories on here about running the lip over on the highway.

Go and buy 2 rolls of 3M double sided exterior mounting tape, some screws, and some rubbing alcohol. Clean all the surfaces well. You may need to lightly sand the back side of the lip for the tape to stick. Stillen's directions say to remove the bumper, screw the lip on from the back side, then reinstall and screw the ends to the fender. I havent removed the front bumper, but its probably going to be a PITA. You may be able to attach it with the car lifted up enough and the splash shields off.

put double sided tape on the lip where its going to touch the car...then 2 self tapping screws where the kit meets the fenders.

Use as many screws and as much double sided tape as you can fit on that piece of ****. I hate thoes ****ing lips, I went overkil on tape and screws and that thing would still come off. Eventually I shattered it and now its laying on the side of the road somewhere. GOOD RIDDANCE!!!

You guys with the 95 stillen lip, how long did the lip stay on before coming loose? I've had mine, IonicDynamics, for a month now and it's on real good. No signs of loosening. Were you guys scraping them a lot? I'm totally avoiding steep driveways since I had the lip. I'm going on Teins Basic Coilovers soon to go lower and I definitely will have to be extra extra careful.
