LED car change over, I couldn't find this info anywhere
I am wanting to change over EVERYthing in my maxima from the green/blue/orange/red/white to ALL red, and bright red. How many LEDs do I need total and what size? As well what power? do you think 10,000 is good enough? is 15,000 to much? pelase let me know thanks!

10,000 is plenty bright, i think i'm gonna do like 8,000 maybe even 5,000, we'll see... i don't wanna be blinded! don't mean to thread-jack, but what MCD should i go with for taillights? i don't want to blind the people behind me, but i obviously want it to be fairly bright to get attention, y'know? thanks. sorry for threadjackin again...

i'd go almost as bright as you can go for tails, but not too bright in the cabin. when the map light is on in my car, it bothers me while i'm driving. sure you could turn the dimmer down, but i'd rather not put all that resistance on the wiring and would rather use less powerful LEDs.

i would get varying brightness led's for different appications.
i used 5mm 15000 MCD white led's for my dome light, map light, courtesy lights.
i used 3mm 10000 MCD white led's for my key right light, window switches.
there are somethings you want to see, and you don't want everything to be blinding you.

yeah there's been like 5 posts on this topic in the past month and a half or so......just need to look for them.
Anyways I've been planning on this for a while now, finally that is summer I'm doing 3mm 10000MCD. Plenty bright and easier to work with.
