IACV Differences

I purchased a used IACV and it's different from the one on the car. There's a second smaller sensor on the other side of the larger sensor that my car doesn't have. It appears that mine has a sort of "bung" to plug it. I'm going to see if I can take the sensor and swap it with the bung without any issues. Anyone have any experience with this or other info that would be helpful? Thanks!!

Post pics...are you sure your not confusing the idle adjustment screw with a plug? i believe there should be a large Grey plug, a pink plug, and a purple one...so its a total of 3....

unfortunately I can't upload the pictures I took, my computer freezes up every time, I can try emailing someone. My car only has (originally) two plugs on the actual IACV, plus the one that mounts on/near it. The new one has three on it, on near it. Two smaller ones and one larger brown one. My original one has a plug where the sensor would go in but there's a small part that doesn't come out.

Ok, it looks like my email will let me if someone wants to let me send them the comparison pic and post it for me that would solve some confusion.

Ok, sent! The IACV on the left in the pic is the one that was on the car. The one on the right is the one I put on the car after unscrewing the plug and sensor and switching them, but it still didn't seem quite right as the one with the sensor was a flow through hole. THe one on the car with the plug had a secondary shiny plug that wouldn't come out. May send a couple more pics JSutter

No, it's def. not the adjuster screw. I don't know if I wrote back on here that I did end up haveing to get the car to move so I switched the sensor with the plug on the two IACVs and put the new/used one on the car and it works. It didn't seem to fluctuate the idle like normal, but I didn't take it for a drive yet.

Well, had the opportunity to drive it about 30 minutes this afternoon and it seems MUCH better, but it still doesn't seem quite right. She still studders on decel but the bucking on light accel has disappeared all together. I'm not sure if what I think is still not right on it is an idle issue or wether it's my axles(NAPA remans)

the pink one is the fast idle for power steering
the purple one is the fast idle for air conditioning

they turn up the idle to compensate for the extra load when those accessories are on.

that 95 didnt have A/C, either that or it was such an early model they didnt see the need to have that fast idle.

2 on the 95 and 1 on the 99!? wow thats weird. Well then it should be fine if the a/c fast idle stays closed. i wouldnt worry about it either way.

Yeah, it's changed slightly in the right direction so I'm satisfied. I'm curious though because it didn't have a gasket the first time I took it off so there's a possibility that something happened before I got her... Maybe I should take the person offering $1 Vin checks up on it...
