Evap codes 07 05 and 01 11

Evap codes 07 05 and 01 11

i pulled the codes and got that one is the evap control code and the other is evap control system/flow. has anyone pulled theses codes before that can give me some help on where to start. the car runs like a champ but i am noticing a decrease in gas mileage.

thanks. I really need to get rid of the cel im due for inspection soon

Ermm, I always forget the name of the valve. EGR?
Anyway there is a valve that controls the purging of vapour from the fuel tank. A good clue if it has failed, is that you'll occasionally get a smell of gasoline as if you've got a leak somewhere.

Its the evap purge valve on the charcoal canister. Its the box that sits on the drivers rear of the car you can see it from underneath and there is an access panel in the drivers rear fender well too. I've heard that you can sometimes blow compressed air into the valve and clear a blockage but like I said I just heard that its a cause of it.

Take the canister off and the valve is attached to it I believe. Blow compresses air through the valve. Didn't think it was that easy huh.

i blew the air through it, but it still didn't clear. What else could it be?
