Turbocharge for $26,000 only to run high 13s? Your friend got big time! There are several 11 sec maximas in this org and I bet you they didn't spend anywhere near that much.

i dont think youd be able to import a skyline for 26,000
Converison prices alone are from 16,000-25,000. Thats not including the price of the car.

You beat me to it!! It'd come to about $118000 to import, not to mention the few months of wait time...

It would be more then a few months wait time. The conversion process alone can take anywhere from 2-4 months, they still have to locate the car and bring it to the states before that.

$26k would be helpful for paying for college. I also don't think it would cost that damn much to turbo any car.

15k for a used low milage wrx. 2k for turbo bigger turbo and pipes. A few hundred for tunning, and still have money left over for stickers.

I know of a bunch of people spending that much and more on getting a Lexus done but they run like you spent that much too. If you think about it if someone actually spent the time and money to do things right it can easily cost that much to have someone else do it. Labor is a **** when it comes to building up motors, transmissions, fabrication, and tuning. The only thing I want to know is what kind of car is it? If its a gas powered Excursion then I may be slightly impressed,

With that extra money I would buy a little thesaurus and dictionary for everyone on Maxima.org to put on their computer desks.

For 26 large, that Max had better outperform a C6 Z06 at the bare minimum.

Im still trying to figure out why its 26k.... Unless he bought a new engine from the dealer ~ 7K and tranny ~ 4k turbo kit maybe 5k so we are at 16... maybe the other 10k for labor at the biggest stealership in the world?

Wait.... is it platinum?? That would definetly get the price up there. Platinum is expensive

If I has 26 large I would:

1) Fix everything that's wrong with my car
2) BBK
3) New rims
4) New leather

And then save the rest.

yes!!! he spent 26000$ (26k) and his car is not finished yet. he needs to do suspension and some body work.
he has nissna almera with sr20de engine.
and NO. he did not buy new engine and he did not buy new tranny.

Extremely too expensive. for 26,000 pay for my college and get a good job, move to where I can get a Skyline and be done with that. Wow 26,000 can get me far.

There are a lot of cars you can buy for half that and run 13s without a single mod. Then with another $13k you can get into the 10s.

At least that's what you could do with a 3rd gen RX-7, which can *also* turn corners. A vette could probably do even more for less $$.
