Anyone install one of these babies yet? Can you really feel any difference getting the motor out of low rs'? Just wondering cause it's almost clutch time.

Yep, just installed one w/ new clutch. Engine revs a lot faster. I really haven't done any runs with it yet (still breaking in the clutch), but have tached it up a little in 1st and 2nd and it got up there real fast. The down side is the motor seems to idle rougher (I am guessing that since it is less than half the weight of the oem, it's loosing some dampening) but it is minimal...

I didn't want to shell out that much coin if it wasn't gonna make a difference. I can live with a rough idle if the engine revs like you say. What clutch did you go with. I heard of some probs w/ centerforce.

Definitly feel the difference w/ the Al flywheel. I have the Centerforce Dual Friction clutch. Not that pleased with it, tho getting close to 500 miles on it seems to be getting better (less chatter). I've heard a lot of people are happy with the ACT (there was a post at the end of last week), so that might be a better bet...

I have 2 Stillen{Muller, really} Alluminum Flywheels, one on my 95 Max and one on my 98 I30T. I was pleased with the results on both cars. I am selling my I30 very soon and I will be selling my almost brand new Stillen Flywheel for $330 shipped, If your interested let me know. It won't be for sale for about two weeks though.

Is there anything that would make it idle less rough? Also what kinda rough idle is it? Does it shake or somethign?
