worth putting a intake? which intake is good?
If you're into noise, then it's worth it. But keep in mind you will lose low-end power, especially for an auto. They don't really increase performance, but do look good in the engine bay. I'd say get a cheap Ebay one.
i went from PR, to Jim wolf, to hacked, to stock, and i will sya the stock one feels the best and my gas mileage i think has improved alot. and i punched it with all of them, so it was nto the driving habits. i wantd to feel the differance between all of them. i liek the stock one by far, but i will say i do miss the sound

Ive run short rams, stillen wai, stock, hacked in a variety of differnt ways, different OSCAI and probably more. Right now I have the K&N and hack box, but still havnt worked it out the way I want to. It had 2 2" tubes going under the car and 1 1.5" into the fender but I took it off for the winter. I track tested some and found out there is no real mesurable difference. Obviously cold air is better, but you may as well just go for looks or sound. If you want the most performance stay stock/OSCAI with a K&N panel filter or get a PR CAI and use the stock resonator insted of the PR midpipe.
yeah, tough to say without dyno proof with these intakes. if you want some sound, something to look at then grab one, not really sure on gains/loss ? not much either way is my guess as well.
I agree with other members that have posted. Gains will not be recognized unless your motor is drawing more air than the stock intake system can handle. Unless you have done significant engine work, better flowing filters aren't going to give you any gains.

That setup is ideal. And for good reasons too, unlike other intake setups.

f'in profound. So many people say it so many different ways. but there it is

What should really be in an intake sticky is exactly why aftermarket intakes lose power compared to stock.
1. The loss of the stock resonator hurts low end and throttle response
2. The warm underhood air that most aftermarket intakes suck in
3. The lack of a velocity stack when running with a short ram setup to stabilize the turbulent airflow over the MAF and into the TB
The PR CAI w/stock resonator helps to avoid all of these issues while providing the benefits of cooler air.
I don’t think a K&N drop in panel will improve sound,
Do you guys think stock intake it better with full exhaust? I was under the impression it was good to have an aftermarket intake if you had full exhaust (like me)

im a bone stock auto. i have a K&N Panel filter running out of of the stock airbox with an aftermarket resonator. no signifigant gains. but i did notice increased throttle response, smoother shifts at high RPM and what appeared to be quicker downshifts
I don't care what people say, but after i screwed my JWT filter and velocity stack to my MAF, i definatly felt a harder pull. It's not just the sound.
Maybe it does lose some low end power, but i still have enough. What it gives you is power when you're going WOT, and thats what i needed. I don't really see why you would be getting an intake for other performance reason other than going WOT, because why would you need more power on low ends of the powerband when you're just cruising??
