Q on power steering fluid hoses fm a new comer.
#1
Hello folks,
Having been visiting this board for a short while. Excellent board! If only I found it earlier - well, never too late.
I am going to replace the power steering fluid. While waiting for my Haynes manual to arrive next week I would like to seek the knowledge of the forum members.
Which hose under the fluid reservoir (the tank I shall call it) is the return line to be removed? There are 3 hoses running below the tank. Looking form the front of car there are:
1. One ~ ¾ inch OD to the leftmost running direct out form the tank;
2. Another similar running to a metal pipe directly underneath the tank; and
3. a ~ 1 inch OD running from the tank to the rear of the engine.
Thank you in advance for all your advice.

Ye...ah. While topping up the tank outdoor(bad mistake) for the first time in several years, caught totally off guard by a strong gust from nowhere throwing sand/dust right in the mid of pouring in. Grtis everywhere including my teeth! Positive some got into the tank and I could find grits inside the ATF bottle.
Anyway, managed to do it today. For those interested, the port side outest hose is the return. I basically traced it from under the block throught the cooling loop.
Actually still not comfortable with it. I may get a shop to flush it again once this week or try to find an in-line filter for it. Cannot bear thinking about sands rubbing intimately with the O rings in the rack....
