Loss of power when car is warm

I feel like i'm loosing power when the car warms up. At morning and afternoon when it's not that hot car runs fine but in daytime esp. when i go uphill i have to push on throtlle harder then usual and let the car downshift.
Transmission dosn't seem to be slipping flushed it recently. I'm thinking it might be a bad knock sensor even though prev. owner changed it. I tried to test it with multimeter but couldn't get it. I don't have any codes
Car has 160k miles use premium gas only.
Does anyone experienced this kind of problem.

Ya its called heat. From what you described its like taking you car out for a drive at 6am then driving it for 30 min at 12 and comparing the too. Pretty much the air is hotter and denser? im not sure if its more or less dense.

no, hot air is less dense than cold air. hense the reason why people buy "cold air intakes." when you have a regular ram-air intake that takes in hot air when its hot outside, you will definetly lose power. i have the same issue but its nothing wrong with your car, cars just dont like hot air.

get a cold air, tranny cooler and an oil cooler and should be alot better.Plus you can always get lighter wheels also give you a little more speed.....

or 20 inch rims...which equates to more heat in the long run. the car is definetly struggling to accellerate, stop, as well as handle with those 20's on there. you are basically pushing your car to its limits with most of its components with those rims on there. they dont look very light
