TX valve, Thermal Expansion Valve

Does anyone know where the TX valve is found in a 4th Gen Maxima. My, A/C is not blowing cold air, compressor works and there are no leaks, so I think this is the next place to look.

Should be in the airbox with the evaporator. The AC airbox is in the dash, passenger side, after the blower motor. To change the TXV, you'll need to evacuate the system, unhook the AC lines going through the firewall on the passenger side, and remove the airbox. This requires removing parts of the dash (I forget exactly what, but glovebox is definite). Carefully undo the clips holding the lower half of the airbox on, and you will have access to the TXV.
Since you're system will be open, I'd replace the Accumulator (or Receiver/Drier, whichever ours is called). Use new O-rings on every connection you loosen. Have a deep vacuum (29.9 in) pulled for atleast 30-45 minutes, longer is better. Recharge with appropriate amount of R-134a (sticker on the hood has amount). If replacing the accumultor (receiver/drier), an oz or two of PAG oil will also need to be added. The FSM has exact amounts of oil to add for what componenets are being replaced.
