Door panel removal Part 2

After all the screws are out, go ahead and remove the plastic trim surrounding the lock and handle. This can be tricky, and as you can see, it is easy to snap it. The key is to remove the rear clip first, then the top one. ALSO, place something soft over the end of the screwdriver(a towel, MF cloth, etc) to protect from damage.

After that, remove the window switches. Place a flat screwdriver under the front of the panel, and pry it up(once again, using a towel to protect the trim). The clip is rather strong, but dont worry about breaking it.

Once that is completed, the door is ready for removal. Pull the bottom out to release the clips that hold it to the frame, and lift upwards. Once that is complete, let it hang, and unclip the trunk popper.

Congrats, your door panel is off.

This applies to all 4 doors give or take the lights and trunk popper.
To replace, follow these directions backwards. Mods please place this in sticky.

To add to the screwdriver with a towel over it I prefer Bojo Inc. Tools. Their website>>>>>>>>>http://bojoinc.com/products.html I have bought 3 sets of their tools and have yet to break one of them and I do at least 3 installs a week for head units, amps, speakers and I have never messed up any kind of door panel or center console.

This part of the entire forum is pretty bad now days. If I wnated I could have about 7k+ post by just copying and pasting everything from the stickies. Way too many people need to be spoon fed here. We 're also seeing quite a few threads asking for opinions that are going to be dis-regarded anyway

First the fact that it was bumped, second the fact that somone is actually looking for the how to and third why it was even created in the first place

Personally, I appreciated the write up. Information that can help me from breaking trim part(s) is a good thing. Even if it is simple.

If you take your time, you can avoid breaking any parts. You dont need a write to tell you that.

Stock up on fix-a-flat?

Actually, in 3 years of automotive work, every tire that's ever come in for a flat repair (not necessarily flat, just random hole/object in tire) that's had fix-a-flat or any similar crap has not been sealed up by said crap. I don't believe in the stuff at all.

Ah, I know what you should do, get some 12ga shells, apparently that works...
