Should I snag this $400 95 max, 160k mi?PICS Inside...

Lady at work...needs 2 front fenders, maybe driver's door from many minor accidents. She finally gave up. I've been in it, reg cond'n for 160k mi on a 95. Leather interior, unsure if se,gxe, or gle

trans shifts okay, motor a little rough, likely no tune up recently

Think it's worth fixing up a bit and trying to make a buck? If anything, it has 2 pieces I desparately need (rear suspension beam, rear bumper). I will be paying at least 200 total for both of those used, so I may havve a generally good working car for the difference, or $200

whaddaya think? Not sure how much to replace 2 fenders, maybe front clip

I'd do it. Could easily fix those parts, do a tune up, then sell it for $4k.

Yea definately get it for 400. You can keep those 2 parts you needed that would of cost you 200 and so therefore the car costs you 200 so now you part the rest out and you can make easy 200+

if that was in my area I wouldnt have made a post till I purchased it. Easy buy fix and re-sell.

www.car-part.com or classified section for fender(s), door.

If you want tell her I'll buy it, and I'll be up there in no time to purchase...

the interior will fly out of your hands if its black. Tan isnt as desired as the black but might still sell. I'd take tan leather over grey cloth anyday.

In parting out, its really all the small stuff that would add up. Plus dont forgot once you've stripped the car down, you'll need to find a way to tow the car away. Sensors here and there will get some bucks.

Not many would buy a stock motor with 160 on the clock but it might happen. Auto tranny might not sell. It just depends on weather you're willing to take the chance and buy the car strip it down and hope your sales can produce a decent profit for your purchase and time.

If you arent going to get it, I'm serious let me know I will purchase that vehicle, lets arrage something.

Def purchase. Get your parts. If anything you could easily get $400+ back on the interior alone. Seel some other much needed parts on the org. when its all said and done call one of those 1-800 # for someone to pick it up and junk it get paid another $65.

Pics are coming this afternoon.

MDeezy seems sincere in our PM's, so it sounds like even he will make out well too!

I am having 2nd thoughts though...because I'd love a winter-time MAX. I'd just insure it during the winter and drop the insurance on mine. Plus, I'd save over 200 bucks on parts I need for my max. By doing this, I can fix my car and have a few hundred in my pocket .....

hmmmm....

I did make an E-deal with mdeezy, so i'll stick with it

needs front bumper/hood/core support. i could deal with the dent in the door. interior needs cleaned and seat covers. ran fine once i fired it up (5 sec cranking, blipped the gas), no funny vibrations, strong trans andf motor

mdeezy is in luck if he likes the pics, old lady says no more cars :-(

Just did some research: Looks like I can get a front bumper assembly, core support, and hood for 400 total! not a bad deal..and thats jsut close to my home...and all are the same color!

If mdeezy backs out, this may be my new project regardless of the old lady's wishes!

Wow ... and if you aren't there for the profit then it would be an AMAZING swap car. VQ35, 5SPD+LSD, and maybe go beyond with 3.5 ECU. Wow ... lots of options here.

It could be a good swap car, but I think it would make my current car a better swap car, its already MT so thats a whole lot of work done already.

I'll be making threads as I progress and decide the fate of that Max and my current one.

and she's home

From 8pm Friday(7/7/06) to 3:30 Saturday (7/8/06) was spent on greyhoud. (slow assss greyhound )

The car definately need some work but wont be a problem for me. The funniest, which lead to be the scariest part of the car was the rear shock. They are so blown I can push the car down and literally make the back of the car just about hop off the ground. I'm going to make a video of it and post up. It led to be the scariest part because driving around a corner then you hit a bump and the rear want to jump off the ground make the rear very unpredicatable.

Car needs a lot of work but forutnately its nothing really major, I'll take pics and shoot video, I'm going to gather up all my parts and spend a saturday restoring her back to perfection. For now atleast she's home
