I apologize if this has already been posted but when I was searching for some 5th Gen commercials I came accross this funny 4th gen commercial. Thought everyone here would like to see it.
According to the description it's from the 1997 Super Bowl.

It was funny as hell but why they didn't say anything about the car, like they did for the 5th gen maxima.

A classic commercial. Even non-maxima and non-nissan people remember that commercial (Just like the 300z Barbie/Ken commercial).

The old dood is Yutaka Katayama, aka Mr. K, "Father of the Z Car"

Nissan had a pretty good ad agency back then...the 300ZX and the Maxima comercials are the funniest car commercials I've ever seen...

What made that commercial a classic is that it strikes a chord with every car owner who takes care of his ride. Damned pigeons really do seem to aim at freshly washed and waxed cars! lol

yeah the "enjoy the ride" slogan era of commercials definitely were the best. The later 00-03 "Driven" era commercials were still good but egh, and the news ones are pretty boring I must say. I don't think they're trying to cater to a sportier overall crowd cround anymore, but perhaps an older mans car instead.

In the late 90's and early 00's Nissan had some awesome music in their commercials. I remember one Pathfinder commercial where people are playing polo with their Pathfinders and The WHO song BABA OReilly is blaring in the background. That was definitely one of my favourites.

BTW if anyone has that commercial or knows where it can be found please let me know.

Do you have the twin drift with Rod and Steve Millen? I can't remember if it was for 240sx or 300z.

I take pride in knowing and owning 4th and 5th Gens.. Those 6th Gens though make me wanna slap Ghosn and the engineers who designed them. I think the only new Nissan/ Infiniti products I'd buy as of now would be anything of the Infiniti line or a 350z.

Have you seen the new 6.5Gen or 7th Gen Max (not sure or the designation), the new Altima and Sentra they all look the same because its all part of Ghosn's "universal frame consolidation plan," a cost cutting measure to ensure Nissan/Renault stays a top manufacturer. This means alot of these cars will utilize the same parts and some just altered a bit as a cost cutting measure.

Anyways back to topic, good old Nissan was amazing and these commercials make me laugh especially the "Reaper" one.

I believe it was 300zx. His nephew Rhys (rice? lol) was also a driver in a Skyline commercial.

I remember it too. Specially since my Pats lost that year to the Packers. Sounds like Cliff Clavin was the head pigeon bomber too.

I remember reading that Rhys was doing commercials, but I thought it was for Toyota? Anyways, I think it's pronounced like "Reese"... like Reeses Pieces.
