My noise was coming directly below the transmission and/or below the radion console.

For the record, I got this info quick fix from Dallas from Warpspeed.

GL!
That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard.. Of course the fawkin y-pipe is close to the cat, they bolt up together

We include a hanger with our Y pipes that eliminates the stock cat hanger because we use a 2.5" collector. The stock hanger is meant to be used with a 2" collector tube, the larger 2.5" tubing we use can cause a vibration which can be heard under the dash. We have been including these with every Y pipe for about three years at no additional cost. Quite a few of the stock hangers have rusted off so they work pretty well. Some of the other Y pipes sold are 2.25" and are small enough that they will still work with the stock hanger, we have had better results with 2.5" tubing.

For the record: we have used just three flex designs, the first 20 we ever sold were unlined, once we tested the lined ones we have only used that stlye and the ball and socket superflex style. We discontinued the superflex because people were over-tightening them and it would cause the gasket to wear out prematurely.

regards
Dallas

I don't really think it matters what brand as long as its stainless steel and mendrel bent, I believe. SS is required here in CT where I live considering we get really bad winters. But its all up to you.
