Just to save some money (my wife isn't to thrilled about a $600 suspension.) but then later replaced the rear? I know this is stupid... but i thought i'd ask. Just for fun.

 

Kinda wondered the same thing myself, except I was curious to know how Illumina's all way round, with H&R's up front, and stock springs in the back would feel & perform.

 

Well you have an SE your rear springs are a bit stiffer than my GXE rear springs. So maybe your configuration is not a bad idea.... Interesting. But I want the H&Rs all the way around for sure... just thought I'd do it in stages.

 

You might get better initial turn-in, but you will almost definitely get more understeer. That would mean LESS total grip.

EDIT: Plus, your car would be leaning forward.

 

you would sacrifice handling for comfort and looks.

 

i woudl wait til u can foot the bill for everything....
