DAMN Check Engine Light
DAMN Check Engine Light
My CEL is on and im getting codes p0100, p0110, and p325. I already have a new knock sensor that me and my mechanic are going to install. the p0100, and p0110 are both related to the mass air sensor(P0100=Mass or Volume Air Flow Circuit Malfunction, P0110 Intake Air Temperature Circuit Malfunction). I've heard that a frayed wire or connector could be the problem, but i don't see a problem with either. If I unplug the sensor the engine seems to hunt for a idle speed, and when i plug the sensor back in it returns to the normal idle speed. I just got my fuel system cleaned out. And the tech said that because the K&N Filter is sucking up more air. It's going to trigger the light. I think thats bull. DO you think i should replacee the 2 sensors. or is there a simple way to test them. I have a digital ohometer, but I'm not sure as to the exact way to use it
get some mass air meter sensor cleaner from a parts store...try that first....i have had a K&N for over a year and no issues...or just reset ur ecu and see if they come back...there is a way to test with a meter but i dont have my FSM with me...u can goto http://phatg20.net/modules.php?name=...ownload&cid=73 download it and see exactly what voltages and stuff they need to be
thought so. could the mass air sensor be affecting the intake temp sensor also. i have a emissions test coming up and they have a obd test or the regular emissions test. i dont know which one they are going to try to hit me with so im covering all my bases.
i already hit phatg20 and got the manual. ill make sure to print it out and take it with me when i go see him this afternoon. I'm trying to give my car a chance to cool down before we start working.
