Anyone from PA with a Y-Pipe? Emissions

Yao...

I live in PA and im just wondering if my car will pass inspection with a Y-pipe on. its the only mod.

It should. Where I'm from(poconos) they don't even check. They just look for codes. I've had mine on for about 5 years with no problems.

yeah i just called the local shop and told the guy and he was like yeah since its a 95 we will have to dyno? test it.

not really sure what that means. i told him ive heard as long as its warmed up its fine.

My car passed the normal inspection with it. I do not have to meet the additional emissions, though.

additional emissions?

i just called warpspeed and they said no one has ever had a prob passing emissions if their catalytic converter is working.

i assume mine is.

You shouldn't have a problem. I would recommend changing your oil before you go have it done. From what I've read, the new, clean oil helps reduce emmissions levels. That should help assist you in passing the test.

Just drive around before going to get it tested and you shouldn't have a problem. the car should pass emissions if it's fully warmed up. You should pass inspection as long as you still have the main cat. They don't really look for precats.
