02 sensor code

I have a code for bank 1 sensor 2, I was wondering if there could be any possible way of telling if it is my actual o2 sensor or if it is something else throwing it off because I have had the code before but after 1 day it went off and now it has been 3 months later and my light has been on for 3 days, I need to know if I need to get a new sensor or what because I have inspection coming up in like a month.

thanks.

I would recommend that you replace the O2 sensor. They are famous for turning the light on and off. If it has appeared and gone twice, then you can be sure it will continue to do so. I have seen this more than several times in my repair experience. It definitely is not going to disappear or fix itself.
