hub nut

hub nut

mine keeps coming loose. shoudl i lock tite it? it seems liek there would be a washer between the cotter pin and the nut but there isnt on the back.

put the washer back on the back of the hub nut or spindle nut. it will keep it from backing out. other than that there is no reason for it to loosen unless you stripped the threads.

they didnt have washers on them... thats why im asking about thread locker. if they were on there in the first place i would just put them back on.

How tight are you torquing it down? It needs to be 175-215 ftlbs.

its past 190 that is what my torque wrench goes to and i turned it a little bit more after that.
