hey NCSU I think it was Black Maxima that said in order to have a shorter shifter (in heighth) you have to chop it. Well I searched and didn't find anything so I was wondering how do you achieve this?.. not meaning tools, meaning methods.

the throws are SO much shorter, dont even rmbr the stock height of the shifter though

but its a lot "notchier" though, but damn are they short (Works great with a lightweight flywheel )

You can do this, I did for awhile till I realized how ghetto the setup was and that it really wasnt a short shifter setup. But if you want to try it pull the **** of and go at it w/ a hacksaw. Start high on the shifter and work your way down bc you dont want to cut to much the first time. The shifter will obviously appear shorter but it will be notchy as hell and hard to get into certain gears sometimes, which Is why I went with the B&M.

You can cut the stock but it'll be really notchy and won't shorten the gears. You can also get another adjustable shifter like pacesetter which has a height adjustment and shortens the throws. But it'll also be very notchy. You bet bet is to get the B&M which is like 2-4 in shorter then stock.

Personally i'm trying to get the most accurate and balanced shift that i can. So i'm trying a B&M sts with Larrio's urethane shifter bushing along with Razo's 340g shift ****. I've got everything but the B&M which i'm waiting for, so far i'm very very pleased with the set-up. I'm also on an entire 5th gen clutch set-up with ss clutch line. "I'm Loving it!!"
