Misfire question

I recently got a code 0603 for cylinder 6 misfire now i replaced the injector and im still missing. I have had 3 other injectors go out on me but none have had the feeling this one gives. It feels as if the the injector in turning on and off during acceleration, i can feel it coming on and off rapidly, what should i check next. any help would be greatly appreciated.

i recently had an 0605 code, which was cylinder 4 misfire.

i replaced it myself, and for the first 3 days it kept misfiring. i uninstalled and reinstalled it twice...nothing.

then after that third day its been running awesome. no misfire whatsoever. ppl will tell you check ur coilpacks and make sure you installed it tightly in the fuel rail.

Had the same problem, didn't believe it was the coilpack. I recieved 20 second opinions before i changed the coil and it fixed the problem. Especially if you already changed the injector it's definetly the coil.

The fuel injectors on our cars are NOT common failure items, the coilpacks are.
The first place I'd look to solve a misfire would be ignition, not FI.

ive replaced a few injectors on my car...but, the first one i did i didnt tighten it down tight enough and at first it still missfired. check how tight the injector is and make sure you tighten it until your arms cant get it any further...that solved my problem!! if that doesnt fix it then im assuming the coilpacks. you could always get unlucky though and have a wiring problem to the injector to where its not getting any power...

Try swapping the coil with a coil on another cylinder, then reset the error codes. If the misfire moves to that cylinder it was the coil, otherwise it's likely the injector. I'd also pull the plug and check it while swapping coils.

Look in the Classified section here or check on eBay for a used set - anywhere from $40-$100 for the set (just stay away from coil packs that came from a 99 Max)
