separating the red from the black

high brake light - separating the red from the black

do i have to bake this thing in the oven or just pry it open with a screwdriver.
thanks in advance for any help.

Your gonna want to get a razor (i.e. box cutter, exacto knife, etc.) and take a few passes around the edge of the lens (where it interfaces with the black plastic base). Do this until you can pull the lens off with a little effort by hand.

As for sealing the base back to the lens, use a weather resistant epoxy (which can be found at any home depot, lowes, walmart, etc.) and be sure to clamp the lens and base together until it dries.
