keep or remove AC?

just in case you wondered, my max is full black on black, black leather interior and tints. right now i do have the AC but it needs to be refilled. I'm planning on adding some mods and maybe do some lapping later on but i wanted to know, if I take off my AC, do you feel enought difference (i mean in performance of course)?

I'm no expert at this by far but I cant see removing the AC would alter performance......I'm not debating the fact that it takes from your HP when in use,but when the compressor is not running,it shouldnt be a factor, actually I would like to know if I'm right cause just the fact that you ask this makes question my own knowledge, but I'm pretty sure its not worth removing it.

Its that cool in Montreal that you dont need or want to use AC? It just needs to be refilled with freon?

I cant answer the extra power from no a/c but I've hard its nothing spectacular. Nothing cheaper than freeing up power, but if your willing to live without ac. Your picking a good time because its not too far from Fall where the temps will be dropping fast.

When the AC's disengaged all that's happening is spinning a ball-bearing race. 0.01HP? Pointless removing it.

I do not think it would be worth it. A/C comes in handy when you are trying to defrost your windows too.

if you take the A/C off just remember how hot its going to be, regardless of how cool it is outside, when it rains because of course it has to rain sometime.

Your crazy! If I ever removed the ac from my car I know the girls I take out wouldnt be very happy with my decision lol. And why do you want to remove it so bad? It cant be that much weight and it wont add any horsepower. Youll still be getting 14s..I dunno do what you want I just dont see the point

i once thought that i didnt need A/C because i could live without it....then my a/c pulley broke, snapping the belts, so i got a shorter belt for it and now i don't have a/c. Let me tell you, i did not feel power increase at all, and its NOT WORTH IT!!! It's so hot inside the car, it gets to the point of not wanting to drive....keep it man, removing a functioning a/c in a daily driver is not worth it.

oh yeah, i don't have p/s either, and the steering feels like azz...putting the belt on soon...
