Won't work.

Different bolt patterns on each engine where the transmission mates up.

Twin Turbo 300ZX engine in my avatar. My other car.

15 posts will cure the noobie status, I think. It's been a while.

well he's at 33 posts, still newbie. IIRC its closer to 50.

also oldngivout, good looking engine there. I owned a 1990 N/A that I loved, but was way too much hassel, it never ran quite right. My brother has a 1993 2 seater N/A with 64K miles, pretty sweet cars I must admit. Can't beat that steering feeling, and I'm sure the TT would be amazing to drive, though I never have gotten the chance.

Sorry to bring this thread back from the dead, but i am searching info on how to 5-speed my 4th gen. once the auto tranny starts slipping i will tear into it and replace it with a 5-speed. my question is the donor car is a 99 maxima at the junkyard and mine is a 95 will the tranny work along with the bolt holes for the shift linkage and master cylinder? i have done a auto-manual before on my 240 and i used a 98 tranny on a 94 240 so are maxima trannies interchangeable like 240 trannies?

Yes. A search would've shown this. That or you could post in the newbie thread, rather than bringing back a 3 year old thread for an extremely simple (and easy to find) answer.
