EVAP code will not go away...

i have not been able to get my inspection for a few weeks now due to code 1008, i replaced the soleniod and canister in the rear of the car and checked every hose and checked the evap valve in the engine and the hoses there, nothing is clogged but yet the code keeps coming back on...the only diffrerence is that it used to come on after 3-5 miles of resetting the light, now i can go 50-60 miles before it comes back on, i am so sick of this problem haha i just want to put my new mods on i just bought y pipe and intake, but im waiting until i get my sticker to put them on. please anyone offer some sort of solution. thanks

I fixed my 1008 code back in May. Here's how I did it. I had to get a part from the junkyard, but I felt safe because I knew how to test it first. The part I fixed was in the engine bay.

Replace your gas cap. If it's leaking you'll throw EVAP codes all day long.

theres one on top of the intake manifold, 3 inches from the vin number stamped on the firewall, and the other soleniod/valve/canister is under the car behind the rear driver side tire, i replaced that canister valve and soleniod today but code is still coming up what a pain in the *** this is

Ill take a look at it tomorrow in the morning.

Did you read about some valve peice being stuck and using wd-40 to get rid of the problem? Not sure if its the same part your talking about, but if it is, its worth a try.

nope ive never heard of that, the only other valve im assuming i would have to replace would be the one on top of the intake manifold, but that one wasnt clogged at all.

1008 is canister purge volume control valve.I had that problem before and replaced cpvcvwith a used one and after 1k miles the cel came back. I opened the electrical connector with (with 3 philip screws).all wires inside were all rusted. I read it one time on this forum that a brand new cpvcv cost $140 .i just forgot where they bought it.I still have the same cel for almost 2 months now for I don't notice any diff. with regards to performance of my car
