Just wanted to get your opinions on whats better to get with GR2's. I live in Brooklyn, just in case. Thanks. Any opinion is welcome!

 

Progress springs are awesome. If I ever went back to a strut/spring setup Id definitely get them again. Perfect balance of performance and comfort IMO.

 

i have the h-techs, they have a nice drop and a good ride, i like em.
my original plan was to get progress with tokico illumnias, but because of money, i had to go with tokico hp with h tech, or not get a drop at all. i like my h-techs, but ive heard really good things about the progress springs also, so, get whatever u want.

 

i think I'm going with illuminas and h-techs but do the progress make a better feel with illuminas? What's the drop on progress btw? 2"?

I'm in Jersey w/ GR2's and H-Techs and I'm not liking it. The ride is a little too harsh. If I did it again, I'd go w/ the H+R's. They are supposed to be smoother.

I'm on Illumina/Progress here in IL. & like it.

Neither is good with GR2's, especially in Brooklyn! Get AGX's or Illumina's with
H&R, because I think the ride will be rough w/Progress in Brooklyn (unless you don't mind)
then go with Progress.

 

I have the H-Tech with stock shocks for about 2 months or a bit more, I like the ride and drop.

I just order a set of Tokico Illuminas today. I can just see the ride will get much better.

 

I have the h-tech's. I chose those because of the amount of drop difference from front to rear. Now the car has a great stance.

So basically any of them with illuminas will be fine then, as far as ride goes, it's just all about the ride height...

And after H-techs and AGX suspension. The front is slightly lower than the pic now after the car settled off of the lift. No rear sagging!!

 

That is a perfect drop, My illumina kit gave me almost an even drop all around, when I wanted a slightly lower drop in the front....

 

anyone else want to chime in on this? with pics or experiences?

A perfect Performance/Comfort blend as mentioned previously.

 

I know this thread is kinda old, but does anyone know if the Tein H-techs drop the car alot more in the front than the Tokico springs... or would it be better to get the progress, cuz The tokico springs I have on the car now are ok, but I want to go lower, but NO TO LOW cuz I already scrape under my car if I go over a speed bump to fast...anyone know..

It is the GR-2s that make it stiff- not the springs.

H-Techs FTMFW. I have had a lot of sets of springs, and these are by far the best. BUT you really should re-consider strut choice. I woudl go for Tokico HP over GR-2s any day. Cost is about the same, but comfort (especially in cold weather) is incomparable.

 

I think this will help make my final decsion, can I see pics with people on H-techs.... anyone?

 

I've riden in S-Tech, H-Tech, had Progress and Eibach spring equppied cars and out of all of them the progress were FTMFW. Eibachs are real stiff but performance is untouched by anything other than coilovers IMO and they dont drop a whole lot. Then again theres no real need I suppose.. So the next on the list would be the H-Techs which are a great spring and pretty comfortable, but nothing really stood out for me as far as they go, good spring though I suppose.

Lastly S(uck)-Techs are the worst spring I think ever made. I'm not gonna even waste my time to elaborate, leave that to J.Sutter or some of the other older guys haha.

Now this was a little OT but I thought I'd give MHO and let you go from there.
