Check Engine Light diag, results.

Ok, two codes of similar origin. Just need to know where I should be looking. I don't have a service manual yet.

Evap canister control valve, Evap control system.

Where should I be looking to see where the problem might be? I'm thinking some wire is not connected.

Thanks guys!

Whoops! 1997! (and how do I determine what trim package I have?)

I have the same problem. codes 0705 and 0903. Few weeks after replacing the fuel filter I checked for ghost codes and found two of those. I didn't try fixing it because the car was driving fine. So on friday suddenly the CEL turned on and I even felt some performance loss and noise from the manifold in the front... I checked for codes again and got only one code "Evap control system".

One of the memebers here had the same problem, so he suggested to remove the Evap canister control valve and put some oil in it. (Actually he couldn't remove his valve because the bolts were stuck and spinning, so he bought the whole canister at the junk yard and the codes went away.)

So I removed the Evap canister control valve and put some oil inside, but the CEL didn't turn off. I reset the ecu and the CEL turned off.... will see if it comes back on again.

Could it be the Fuel filter ? I bought Purolator in Strauss ... it should be good

I know I didn't have the Evap codes before I changed the fuel filter, because I had my car computer diagnosed.

i have the same code (0705) as well as (0304) any chance they are related? Car smells pretty rich when running. Just pulled the shroud off the driver's side rear well and there must have been 5lbs of dried mud from who knows how long ago. I'm guessing my evap valve is stuck and the culprit of my 0705 code. Any thoughts?
