Windshield Wipers

I was wondering what kind of wipers you guys use? I live in NY, and after about 3-4 weeks i have to change my wipers. This is really bugging me cause I dont know why. I use the rainex brand and i tried to use the bosco brand. Its the same thing for both. i dont drive my car often but in y area theres alot of trees. So the car is almost always covered in some of the tree residue. Kinda like dust but not. So i use the wipers along with the washer fluid and it streaks and makes sounds and when it rains its not very effective. Does anyone else experience this?

Just bought Bosch Icon and I'm hooked. I switched from PIAA silacone and will never use a silacone blade again, they streak like crazy. Yes the Bosch's are BIG $$$, but man do they do a good job!!! Just a quick tip before installing your new blades. Clean your windsheild with Bon Ami. You can buy Bon Ami in the cleaning ailse at your local supermarket, it's an all purpose cleaner similar to Ajax. It does an excellent job at taking dirt, grease, silacone, and grim off your windsheild and doesn't scratch the glass.

i used to use just any regular refill from a auto part store in cali, but once i moved out here to the dc area they didnt do the trick during the winters. currently using bosch micro edge excel. they've been working great for the past year.

on the Icons, got mine a couple months, been through many a rain storm with them. Have performed flawlessly so far. We'll see how these wonderful ohio winters affect them. They destroy everything else with the ice,,,might switch to an el cheapo for winter just because of that.
