15" se's or 16" se's?

ok so right now i got my stock 15" se's on my car. my tires are finished so im in for a tire change. i got a pair of 16" se's just laying around home and im wondering which one should i put on my max. sure the 16" are better looking but out of performance wise, will it affect alot? the only reason I wanna keep on my sawblades are because they're lighter (16.9????lbs vs 19.6lbs). im planning on putting some 225 tire btw and they fit on both right? tires are cheaper also on 15".

I'd personnaly go with 16's. You will see a very small, if not any, difference since your car has more than sufficient amount of initial torque. And 16's looks way better.

if you are an absolute performance freak, it's 15s (40 lbs) vs 16 which are 42lbs while the difference may seem trivial keep in mind every single pound you add to your wheel and tire combination is pretty much adding eight pounds to the curb weight of your car if not use the 16s they are prettier

lol :P right now im basicly just trying to make im max go asap. i already ordered a xtd clutch off ebay (my cuz had one and worked great) and a fidanza 12lbs flywheel. im also getting a 00vi (for free btw) and planing on putting much more.

ps also the car has 200k+ km (not miles) but the motor runs great! any suggestions about engine tune-up, maintenance?

well then if you dont care about the looks then keep the 15s it,s faster here is a fun but long article about how our 3,0 engine works and it compares 3 3,0 engines and how the weight influences our rides, worth reading

https://maxima.org/modules.php?name=30_comparisons

as for tips about maintenance and tune up read the faqs very informative, the first mod everyone reccomends is the Y Pipe

Hi i just noticed that you were a fellow Montrealer If you're going DE-K, might as well get the whole engine. It comes out to the same price in the end (getting the IM and custom fitting it to the DE will cost as much as getting the whole engine and swapping it out).

MAN you should have come to the meet today. I posted in the Canada section. The turn-out was very good. Many maxes.

i didnt even know there was a meet. man i should've came. and btw about the de-k IM, im getting it for free since my cousin's wife's mom's blew her engine or something(think she was running without oil ) so probably the IM on her de-k is still good. but your right, i think im still better off swapping the whole engine since mine has 200k+ km. nways hope to see you in a meet next time .

if you want i still have my old engine for sale. It had 150 000km on it and was still working fine. I took it out because I put in the 3.5. The engine is at my mechanic in Brossard.

you won't notice a performance difference from 3.5lbs. go with whichever you like the look of better.

Hello montrealers haha...if u get the intake for free, why change to whole engine. In the end they are the same IMO(the block). Ohhh and put the 16's on for the summer and the 15's for the winter time.
