I had suspension on a very important part of this build. I'm a seasoned autoXer... suspension and brakes mean more than any other mod.
Also... I am well aware it's stock.... after just dropping a grand on down payment and insurance, the money got REAL tight, REAL quick. Mods are on the way, though. Some of them are already paid for.

No leather seats? Branded Carpets? Something doesn't add up.
I could be wrong though.

Nice SE-L. The SE was changed to the SE-L during the 1999 production schedule from what I've read. It meant "titanium tinted" dash gauges, darker paint on the wheels, and the emblems on the grille and trunk were darker in color. Floormats should have the SE-L design in the corners. The doors have SE-L badges. You could get them like the previous SE models with no options or all options. The other difference is that the optional leather, has SE-L branded into the frontseat backs, and perforated leather.

My SE-L came with cloth interior, a step above the other cloth offered in 99. Also, the steering wheel is upgraded. SE-L floor mats add to the look, but unfortunately are not available anymore through the dealer (at least in Long Island). I had a 99 GXE, and can say that the steering feels much tighter stock than the GXE. The titanium tint adds to the unique look, even the gauges have that hue; I just debadged the hamburger because it was shiny chrome vs. the titanium MAXIMA lettering.

Yeah, SE-L owners should remove the chrome nissan burger from the rear trunk lid. It doesn't match the titanium tinted maxima script.
Awww. Looks just like mine did 2 months ago minus tint, plus the SEL badging, 2 years and 30K miles (I only got 97K). People can bag on cloth all they want, but they're just mad 'cause their back-side is scalded and sweaty. Tan is the only way to go with CG2 (Pebble Beige/Champagne Mist - whatever you call it). Nice snag!

The pictures were taken to avoid highlighting the hood. It needs a full repaint. The bumpers also need fully repainted.
The one bit of damage on the entire car was from 2002 (according to carfax), when a load of gravel spilled in front of the car... most of the hood is VERY badly chipped, all the way down to bare metal.
I'm going to need either a new hood, or a fully repainted hood... I am still not 100% about the CF hood and trunk, but I do want the Ionic CF front lip...
And Matty, when did you go to the CIA? I graduated in July of 2001.
ManualMax, the color is called Sunlit Sand... EV0 is the paint code.
