my speedometer goes out somtimes. when i push in the trip button it will fix it somtimes. or if i tap the gauge cluster it will also somtimes work. i want to buy a new cluster becuase i need a tach anyways but how do you adjust how many miles are on the gauges? if i cant i want to get one with very similar miles on it.

 

The only way to adjust mileage is to roll them...which is illegal and costs anywhere from 150-250 depending on many things. Your best bet is to get one with similiar miles (better to have one w/ a few thousand lower).

 

Speedomotor... is it electric?

 

LoL!! I just noticed he has a 96... then it's prolly not electronic and it's like 20 bucks to roll back.

if it goes out sometimes then most likely you need a new speedo head. you can get this at Courtesy Nissan and they will set the miles for you for $50 . THE speedo head is about $160 i think.
