anyone who has done a full interior swap, com on in.

I have just about completed mine, all but the dash. I have done all of it by myself and I dynamatted the rear portion of my car, and want to ddo it to my firewall when i pull the dash off..

Now is it just me or are interior swaps a huge PITA? especially when bolts and things are missing

I will post some pics up when i finish the dash. BTW I went from tan leather to all black leather with heated seats.

I changed out everything as well, seatbelts gave me the most trouble and searching for missing stuff... I also dynamatted my whole car. I did my headliner and sunroof panel as well. I know its worthless with out pics but I will have to post them tomorrow when i have time. It looks awesome though!

Dave, I have a hard time believing you did it in 3 hrs, but if so thats great for you. But you also claimed that shifing at 6500 was > than 58-5900 on a USIM in another thread...

what, maybe it's better to shift at 5900rpm at the track than it is at 6200-6500?
what's s hard to believe? front seats take 15 minutes, rear seats take 10 minutes, door panels take 1 minute each, seatbelts and pillars take another 20-30 minutes, radio and dash parts take 20 minutes, the dash "core" takes 10 minutes.

For those of you that completed this, about how much did all of the parts cost if you dont mind me asking. I know it depends on where/who you get the parts from but i just want an idea of how much this could cost.

LOL LOL LOL LOL well, there's 3-5 screws in each door, with a single connector on each, why is it so hard to believe? not my fault you don't know your way around a max...

about a grand to do it, with good quality black pieces, Im sure you could do it cheaper but i bought it all from one guy.

Im not going to argue about how fast you could take apart the interior of a max with hand tools by yourself, but all your comments you post are annoying and not helpful by anymeans anywhere on the org.

actually, I was trying to help, not sure why since you didn't ask for help. You just said " anyone who has done a full interior swap, com on in". I'm not sure why since you're not asking for any help, just asking if it's hard to do?

Kinda seeing what problems peopel ran into, I had to drop the steering column and find that stupid tool to undo the airbag brace, still was hard to get out the dash.

I am guessing not to many people have done full interior swaps???!!!

Now that I have officially done it, it wasn't bad, now that I know where everything goes, connects etc. Would I do it again? probably not. Now I work on the engine and turbo project, that will be next.
