Tranny gone ... selling 95 MAX, what can I expect to fetch ?

Hey guys,

It finally happened, my '95 SE tranny (5spd) needs to be rebuilt/replaced after 203,000 miles. I'm not gonna try to repair, instead I'd like to sell the car. I was thinking of asking about $1,500 for it. Is that a fair asking price?
The car and engine is in good shape, but it is by no means a "show" car; I've simply kept it clean over the years.

I appreciate any advice.

Thats a bummer, im sorry to hear about that. I think $1500 sounds like a decent price to me as long as the rest of the car is in working order.

What do you plan on getting now? Hopefully another max right? haha

Hehe, I'd rather not say
Unfortunately I got an '06 accord due to economics. I've had an 89 Max prior to the 95, and I tried all the moves and hustles I could to make the numbers work for an '06 Max, but it just wasn't adding up. Being a family man kinda changes the priorities, but I told the wife the next car will be a Max no questions asked.

Haha, its all good... With the gas prices being the way they are lately, you gotta do what ya gotta do. And its definately different when youve got an entire family in the situation.

Nice choice on the new Accord, looks very good and saves gas! What color did you get?

It's just a basic Silver EX, not the sexiest, but it'll do the job for now. I miss my 5-sp already
