Parking Brake adjustment?

I started to get this annoying grinding/metal scraping noise from the right rear wheel a couple of days ago. For sure I thought I had to redo the brakes as the noise first shows up in the mornings when I back out of the garage. Today I noticed that the noise didn' t start up right away when I went to pick up the daily newspaper and so I lightly pulled up the parking brake. Next thing I know the noise disappeared and never came back the rest of the way into work. Is this just a simple parking break adjustment?

If it is a parking brake adjustment that is needed, it is quite simple. Unsnap the e brake boot inside the car expose the nut. To loosen it, make the screw coming out of the nut shorter, to tighten the brake make it longer.

i think u should check your pads first, just to be sure.. when my rear pads were finished i had that noise and it went away for a while, i still went ahead and checked it and sure enough it was the pads that were almost done.....just my $0.02
